KELLY MCGONIGAL : THE WILLPOWER INSTINCT

Kelly McGonigal is a psychologist who educates  us about willpower and its aspects in our lives. She said that Willpower have three main components namely Won’t , Will and Want power. She described won’t power as the ability to resist the temptations or desires and Will power is the ability to do something that is hard for you or is uncomfortable. Want power is the real skill that keep us motivated and dedicated to our long-term goals. Willpower is an ability to do or don’t do things according to our desires, temptations, distractions and ambitions which definitely have an impact on our future goals and career. After she studied a case from 1848 of Phinease cage tells us that self-control lives in the pre-frontal cortex of the brain. Self-control is a key to willpower, to live a healthy, happy and successful life you have to balance both good or bad sides of self-control. ERIC SCHMIDT : CHARLIE ROSE

Eric Schmidt is a CEO of Google for about 10 years from 2001 to 2011 and is currently working as an executive chairman of Alphabet Company which is Google’s parent company and is one of the biggest investors of Uber. Charlie Rose was an American journalist who took the interview of Eric Schmidt. Charlie Rose asked Eric some questions about his experiences as a CEO, his achievements and future revolutions, ideas for upcoming technologies and the risks he took for the success of his company. RECOGNITION OF JERUSALEM AS ISRAEL’S CAPITAL:

The debate presented  to us, chaired by Emily Maitlis presenter of The BBC Newsnight, was about the topic that “The world should recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital” and there were four speakers. Ehud Omert and Natasha Hausdorff were in the favour of the topic and against them were Jack straw and Ghada karmi. The decision of Donald Trump of recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and also to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem embarks an outrage among many states world wide. The Palestinian’s ambassador Dr. Husam Zomlot and the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan claims that Trump’s move will declare a war on about 1.5 billion Muslims and could  plunge the world into a fire with no end in sight and this dispute is described as one of the most intractable issues in Israel - Palestine conflict. In this talk presented to us , the speaker Martin Jacques comprehends his study on understanding the rise of China.  He displays a chart according to Goldman Sachs projections, by 2050 the Chinese economy will be the largest in the world . Its an illusion in the west or many people think this way that societal modernization in China means Westernization, but that will not be China’s path.
