Interview Of Greta Thunberg at democracy now :-
In this 45 minute interview on democracy now , Amy Goodman , the anchor of the show is taking an interview of Greta Thunberg , the 16 year old Swedish climate activists, who inspired millions of people world wide by her work and determination for the safety of our climate.
Greta Thunberg, as a 15 year old , started a school strike for the climate, going in front of the Swedish parliament everyday for three weeks and skipped school every Friday, demanding action to prevent catastrophic climate change. First she was all alone but her hard-work pays off and her protest spread quickly world wide. Thousands of students around the globe participated in their own school’s strike for climate change . Due to this she became leading figure in climate movement, joined protests across Europe, addressed world leaders at the UN Climate talks in Poland and the European Union Parliament. She even met the Pope.
At the beginning of her journey Greta Thunberg felt helpless because of the uninterested attitude she was receiving from her fellows, family and relatives due to which she fell into depression for about one year but came out of it when she joined climate movement because it give her strength or feel that she’s doing something great and that encouraged her to make a move towards the attainment of her dream.
The reason behind all this hard-work of her is just to attract the leaders towards the rising climate crisis.
To conclude the interview, Greta Thunberg addressed the young people world wide by saying that we are facing an ecological and climate crisis which will have a massive impact on our life or is having right now as well, we should stand united to understand what is at stake and stop it from going to, much worse condition.
