Book Launch : Hearts Turn By Michael Sugich

 The author of the book Hearts Turn, Micheal Sugich at the book launch gave the introduction of the book himself. He described the importance of ‘Tawba’, a Quranic term commonly known as repentance or penitence. In Arabic ‘Tawba’ is a term, which means ‘To Return’ and its an act of purification. The author in his book describes the heart trending, surreal and transcendent stories, altogether full of hope that how many people returned to Islam in what ways and explained their journey in a very genial manner. He recall the past events when he was writing the book and how he write or eradicate incidents because people didn’t allow him to publish it due to some reason or the story was too inconceivable. Hearts Turn is a declaration of mercy and certainty. It’s a collection of stories that the author himself experienced, read or heard. About the transition from confusion to clarity, from sin to virtue, from ignorance to knowledge. And finally it is about the path of our lives, which leads us gradually and for those inexorably to salvation. Micheal Sugich said that the book was inspired by three individual stories and all of them were delighted but none of them is a part of the book. Sheikh Abdul Hakeem recommended some people to Micheal Sugich to listen to their stories and some of them became the part of the book. He said that when he wrote “Signs on the horizon” within two weeks but it took four years to write “Hearts Turn” because he collected the stories and experiences from different people. He chatted with them and listened to their stories and collected the materials. He said that he was very careful with the stories because it is very sensitive and attached with the so much emotions, so he self-censored some of the stories and made people anonymous even if people said themselves that it is okay to use their names but he thought that people might get hurt.

He said he was happy but after a week and half later he planned to commit suicide. Ferris inherited bi-polar depression and seen a lot at his age.
