Can you imagine your life without air conditioner in this scorching heat of summer ? No right ! Because it is impossible to live in a city where the temperature nearly hit 50s and you cannot help but wonder how it feels to have a delicious hot meal in a freezing room. But thanks to air conditioners it is possible for you to enjoy the heat of summer months without getting a stroke because of the temperature outside. 
Air conditioners is known as a “ Cool ”  technology. In 1920s, people used to have air conditioners as  “comfort” to lure people to get in movie theatres, restaurants and department stores because back than A/C was not considered as domestic technology. Air conditioner is a perfect example of how technology changed everything around us.
There are many advantages of air conditioner as well as disadvantages. The elders and those vulnerable people who have severe diseases and easily get headache from sunbeam can stay safe at home at moderate temperature provided by air conditioner. It prevents dehydration and heat stroke because exposure to excessive heat for long period can cause the water loss through sweating and human body cannot regulate its temperature resulting in heat stroke and dehydration. Air conditioners are capable of filtering pollen, dust and other allergens present in the environment. 
One of the most known disadvantage of air conditioner is that it uses massive amount of electricity, makes it very difficult to afford. Furthermore, to reduce the risks associated with the air conditioners is to have them cleaned once in a while, because not cleaning the air conditioner can cause buildup of dust, bacteria and pollen in the air filters which can cause respiratory tract infections and allergies.
A clean and well maintained air conditioners will have more health advantages and very few disadvantages.
